A collection of quotes from Black women's writing.

Black Women Said is a project of Afrolicious.

In this space, we are collecting quotes from Black women in media both famous and not-yet-famous, from books, journals, magazines, essays, blogs, interviews, videos and media of all forms.

With your help, by the end of this summer, we hope to have a substantial archive of twenty and twenty-first century works by Black women.
